8:30 a.m. Kasey’s Heart & Soul: Run, Walk & Roll
This event helps benefit the Lions Camp, a unique summer place for mentally and physically challenged and diabetic youth of Louisiana. Route will begin on the NSU Campus, continue along Natchitoches’ oldest streets in the Louisiana Purchase, including the historic bricks of Front Street, and end back on NSU's campus.
10:00 a.m Historic Walking Tour of the National Historic Landmark District
Park Rangers from Cane River Creole National Historical Park will offer guided walking tours of downtown Natchitoches. Tours will begin at the Natchitoches Welcome Center located at 780 Front Street, Suite 100 in downtown.
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Natchitoches Frontier Days
Re-enactors and living historians will gather at Fort St. Jean Baptiste State Historic Site to demonstrate colonial life at the fort and on the frontier. The cannon will be fired weather permitted. Located at 155 Jefferson Street; no admission charged.
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Colonial Heritage Exhibit-Frontier of Empires
Discover the unique history of Natchitoches with never-before-seen exhibits representing our colonial heritage. Located at the Lemee House, 310 Jefferson Street; no admission charged.
6:00 p.m. Cole Vosbury from NBC’s “The Voice” Performs on the banks of the Cane River Lake
